For Thing-O-Matic models post-May 2011, follow these steps: first, remove top two screws of the right-hand Y-axle cover plate (nearest to the Y-belt idler). Then, place the bracket over the idler bolt and align it on the axle; some hole adjustments might be needed. Afterward, install nuts in the nut wells of the new bracket while replacing the screws in the cover plate. Finally, adjust belt tension as required. Note that fitting nuts with screws before installation can help them fit better.
