I designed a vertical holder for the giant spools of Optimus filament (10kg of filament!). Why a vertical holder? Because there was a phenomenon of clumsiness with the large spools. It was difficult to find balance, and it happened that the spool would roll back in the opposite direction of its unwinding. The significant weight generated enough tension on the thread to neutralize the printer. With this vertical holder, this phenomenon of clumsiness disappears completely. Additionally, a single ball bearing is sufficient to easily turn the enormous spool. Note that this holder is compatible with any spool; it's just necessary to print standard ears. Printer Settings Printer: STREAM20PRO Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 100 microns Infill: 20% Notes: Presented here in PLA (12€TTC per kg on jimprimeen3d.fr), but the holder prints well in ABS without support or raft.
