Two M3 screws from the original cooling block are sufficient. To mount this type of sensor, a tension reducer will suffice, lowering the voltage to less than 3.3v, with 3v being the top. I have realized a setup with a 24v/220v relay, two cables with a Dupont connector, and a 3-pin terminal block directly connected to the printer's power supply. You can only hear a small click when the sensor detects the plate. The sensor of course detects glass, it is an LJC18A3-H-Z/BX 1-10mm capacitive proximity sensor switch NPN. The repeatability is around 0.001mm, and when the plate is hot, it slightly decreases precision at repeatability (0.008mm). Fully acceptable and no problem of a pin touching an ongoing print. The price of this type of sensor is between 4 to 5€.
