The design of the container and hovercraft was handled by Solid Edge and Fusion 360 respectively. This product features three main parts;1) A sturdy base2) A lightweight covering3) An opening mechanismThe base and opening are secured together using five strong bolts that prevent movement between them. In contrast, the covering is able to slide along the base via a system of grooves. This smooth operation is due to an attachment point on the opening, limiting its range of motion. The precision manufacturing tolerances ensure the covering creates a snug fit within both the base and the opening, courtesy of the flexible nature of this thin layer.To maximize the weight reduction efficiency of the lightweight covering, generative design techniques were implemented, leading to substantial material savings due to its minimized size and optimized layout.Although the team was unable to access Solid Edge, their inventive solution entailed superimposing generative design patterns atop existing structural models, then applying cutouts or beveling to produce aesthetically comparable outcomes.To shield valuable contents from inclement weather conditions such as flooding water entering via this protective barrier was placed on top and sealed tightly to protect from environmental dangers The benefits provided by our cutting-edge design include the elimination of potentially debilitating crashes during sudden stops associated when flying crafts lose power unexpectedly on land while also preventing injuries occurring in such scenarios with regular manned aerodynamics vehicles: 1) The integration onto a robust platform which ensures there is no jarring sensation, only ever experiencing gliding movements much akin flying planes with their controlled descents through sky unlike quadcopter craft.
