Superseded(!) nvidia p40 Fan shroud 120mm
thingiverse
!!!ATTENTION: Does work partially!!!! I made a new design which I'm incredibly happy with. I cannot recommend normal fans, use a radial blower fan instead. These produce more Pressure and my second Design works much, much, better then this. Have a look there. I keep this Online for Archive reasons plus as last resort. [ I have it in use but use a very strong fan to push Air through. I have to revise the design, I guess radial fans are better suited for this circumstance. On full computing power I reach 80C with noctua Industrial 3000rpm fans - A rather disappointment. Im not sure if Other designs here on Thingiverse have better outcome, it works for me by now but its to loud,- I banned the Server into an unused room for now, will revisite this Problem and repost] This is a fan shroud to connect a 120 MM fan to an Nvidia tesla p40 graphics card. It might work with similar models of the Teslas. - No support is needed, print upside down, use brim. - Print slowly, use cooling! There are steep overhangs Attention!: By now I'm not sure how effective this will cool since I havnt run the Tesla under load. It might be that using a Radial fan is smarter cause of the air pressure. I wanted to give the noctua 120mm a try. I wanted to avoid a permanent jet engine in my living room. I'll post as soon as I have some valuable insights. I used 3x M3 screws to get the blower attached to the card, 4x M3 to attach it to the blower.
