SuperPID v2.0 Closed-loop Router Speed Controller
grabcad
Super-PID is a closed loop speed controller allowing 1/4" and 1/2" routers to function as regulated spindles. It enables low cutting RPM, quiet operation, exact speed regulation, and increased power at low speeds. The device features reflective optical infra-red sensor technology for closed-loop speed control and an internal microprocessor that executes a P.I.D algorithm for precise speed regulation. A model of the Super-PID board was created using the manual's dimensional drawing and physical measurements, featuring accurate mounting hole locations, head sink plate, terminal blocks, and LCD standoffs. Additional features were modeled but deemed unnecessary for specific purposes. The LCD screen model from Anders Lohmann was utilized with customizations to the display text and colors. The assembly includes three parts: SuperPID v2.sldprt (board), DFRobot_1602 (LCD screen), and 16pin_header.sldprt. The other part is an exported assembly, while the step file contains the entire assembly in a single file.
