Supernova Taillight clones

I created two clones of the Supernova Taillights, one smaller and one bigger M99 version. Both versions use custom LEDs to meet street legal requirements, but in reality, a small row of LEDs won't blind anyone and is perfectly visible. Since I found the original prices between 50 to 100€ for this bikelight simply outrageous for a few LEDs and some aluminum housing, I decided to take the DIY route. The smaller version accommodates three 5 mm LEDs and has a 50 mm width for mounting to a rear rack or a matching saddle adapter. The bigger version is designed for six 5 mm LEDs and has an 80 mm width for mounting holes. I also added a simple adapter to mount the smaller version on 80 mm mounting holes. The rear of the light is open, allowing you to wire up any 5 mm super bright red LED of your choice that matches the voltage you want to use. I ordered six "12V" LEDs with a built-in resistor and will connect them in parallel. By soldering multiple LEDs in a row plus some resistors, this rear light can be easily connected directly to your e-bike battery. After soldering everything together, simply fill the rear with hot glue or some other sealant like silicon. Edit: I just soldered my six 5 mm LEDs in place and this thing is super bright! I paid less than 2€ for those six LEDs. It's hard to convey how visible this backlight will be via picture, but it should be visible from at least 500 meters in the dark. Hint: Place the LEDs on the outside of the printed housing for soldering and then drop them inside the housing once finished. Ensure you don't have a short circuit before sealing the back side. I believe the triple LED version will be more than sufficient. Edit #2: I added version two for both backlights, which are a bit wider and leave more room for soldering the LEDs. Also, I added backplates that can be screwed from the back of the housing if you don't want to use any hot glue to seal it. Additionally, I added a holder for the triple light to enable mounting to your seatpost similar to the original.
