SuperNova RC plane
thingiverse
SuperNova is inspired by rcFoamFighters SuperNova foam pusher plane. The wings are 1 layer shells (0.4mm) with 1 layer cross internal structure (0.4mm). Three-dimensional files for the right side of the plane only are provided, requiring users to mirror all parts to create a complete left side. Refer to attached PDFs for further instructions. Files starting with "smaller" contain alternative prints suitable for smaller printers (split in two at the center compared to larger parts). The estimated center of gravity is approximately 45.5 cm from the nose tip. My SuperNova plane weighs around 1420 grams, including electronics (4S 1300mAh). Parts are glued together using sandpaper and superglue. In the video, I used a Turnigy 60A speed controller, Turnigy 2836-2350 motor, 7x5 propeller (slightly uncertain), 4S 1300mAh battery, and possibly Hextronic D-MG16 (Size: 29 x 11.2 x 29mm). Good luck with your build! You can find the video at https://youtu.be/5PpQr6V3fSU. Print settings: Printer: Modified RepRap Mendelmax Rafts: Doesn't matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.25 Infill: 100% Notes: I made a couple of test prints on the pusher plate, and once successful, printed all other files with success.
