Supernatural - The Colt (Semester 1 Submission)

When starting 3D Animation & VFX studies, I pushed myself to build a model from scratch to grasp Maya, the software I had transitioned to at course onset. The texture set was crafted using Substance Painter, which proved tricky but manageable, given its similarities to Photoshop, a program with which I'm well-acquainted. Moving on to the asset itself, I chose to recreate the legendary Colt from Supernatural. This project dragged on longer than I care to admit, with frequent tweaks to both model and textures throughout. The model represents my interpretation of The Colt, informed by reference images from the show and other sources that provided details such as engravings on the gun. Overall, creating this project was an enjoyable experience, and I'm quite pleased with its final outcome. Notably, the model may take a while to load due to the numerous shaders used.
