Supernatural pentagram
thingiverse
I'm a huge fan of Supernatural and since I didn't see much related stuff here, I decided to make something myself. The pentagram, or five-pointed star, has been used for centuries as a protective symbol against evil spirits when one point is turned upward. It's an old-school magic trick that actually works! To start making this pendant, I carefully measured the diameter of a circle and punched out the center to create a hole. That way, it would fit snugly around someone's neck. Designing the star was by far the toughest part. I attempted to draw it freehand but failed miserably until my teacher gave me some genius advice. He told me to place two interlocking pentagons inside each other and then use a drawing tool to sketch out the star's five points. This created the illusion of depth, making the lines appear more authentic. Similar to when I worked on that complex gear project, I hit an issue during this one too. Initially, my design resulted in the unwanted removal of space between two star points instead of simply adding it. But this time around, I was able to identify and rectify the error right away! One problem persists though: the star's edges don't stick securely onto the circular ring due to uneven placement. That's an easy fix – all I need is some good old-fashioned glue to make it stable again.
