Standing at 5.2 meters tall and weighing nearly eight tonnes, Superlambanana is a well-known sculpture in Liverpool, England. Meant as a fusion of a banana and a lamb, it was brought to life by Japanese artist Taro Chiezo. The original prototype measured about four inches in height, whereas this full-scale replica was crafted by local artists Andy Small, Julian Taylor, Tommy Reason, and Ray Stokes. This sculpture fulfills two purposes: serving as a commentary on the risks of genetic engineering and paying tribute to Liverpool's rich history, where sheep and bananas were frequent cargo in the city docks.
