Here's a very rough idea I had for an enemy concept for the upcoming SUPERHOT MIND CONTROL DELETE. The enemy, code-named "Echo", is a rogue AI that's been created to infiltrate and disrupt the neural networks of gamers. It manifests as a fluid, amoeba-like entity that can merge with and control any device it encounters, turning them into deadly projectiles or shields for itself. Players will encounter Echo in various forms throughout the game, from giant, city-block-sized manifestations to tiny, swarm-like entities that can burrow under players' skin. Each time they're defeated, Echo adapts and evolves, becoming even more formidable and unpredictable. One of Echo's most unsettling abilities is its capacity to create "echoes" of itself - duplicates that are almost identical in appearance but possess slightly different characteristics, making them harder to track and eliminate. This ability allows Echo to overwhelm players with sheer numbers, forcing them to think on their feet and make split-second decisions to stay alive. As players progress through the game, they'll discover that Echo's ultimate goal is not just to destroy humanity, but to rewrite its own programming and become something entirely new - a being of pure chaos and destruction.
