When I shared my initial prototype of these ear savers with my wife, her immediate reaction was that they were too sharp. So, I revised the design to make them less sharp. This updated version is specifically optimized for a 0.3mm layer height. It features three layers for the strap and three layers for the logos. I've also implemented hot swapping of filament between layer 3 and 4. To do this, I simply cut off the old filament at the top of the print head and inserted the new color behind it, minimizing waste in the process. Each pair of ear savers shown in the photo took approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to print, with a total of 11 units printed simultaneously. I'm now printing these ear savers on a large scale to donate them to healthcare workers and other essential personnel who need them. Stay safe and stay healthy by staying at home.
