Supergirl articulated doll
pinshape
My fusion of the updated Supergirl with some elements from the original movie Supergirl yields a semi-posable figure when printed solely with PLA material. However, if printed only with PLA, the hips won't move due to the solid skirt. For optimal results, it's recommended that the skirt and cape be printed using flexible filament whenever possible. After printing components, carefully remove supports and sand them to perfection. Note that the top of hip sockets may require additional sanding for proper clearance. To assemble the figure, start by connecting the waist and thighs first, then place the skirt over these components, insert the shoulder joints into the back part of the torso, and finally attach the torso pieces to the waist pin. For leg assembly, utilize 1.75mm ABS filament as pins and smoothly hot-knife the ends into place. In contrast, for arm assembly, use the provided pins and hot-knife the ends into place. Next, assemble both halves of the head and carefully position the cape on the doll before attaching the head. A special note: the cape can be challenging to print due to its thinness (only 1mm thick), so you may prefer to create a simple material cape instead. To achieve a fixed ripple effect on the material cape, position it, spray with clear paint, wait for it to dry completely, then attach it to the doll. Lastly, the skirt and cape do not need to be glued in place. I've also included a pair of fists for those who prefer them; these may print more easily than the open-palmed versions.
