The cube transforms its lateral faces into 4 curved surfaces that make the transition between the lower and upper faces rotated 45 degrees. These first two solids contain beveled planar surfaces, in the first solid are hyperbolic paraboloids, and in the second helicoidal surfaces. The last solid contains surfaces generated by translating a circle arc.
