To get started: You'll need a few simple materials: A paper clip (2 cm will do just fine) Teflon tube with an ID of 2, length of 10 A piece of rubber that's 10 by 40 (you can use a large rubber band or cut one from an old tire inner tube) Tools: Scissors SuperGlue And don't forget to add some humor to the mix! 3D printed spool, switch, sensor holders, fan ducts, and filament guides represent a major breakthrough, allowing 3D printers to work more efficiently than ever. New designs for these essential accessories are popping up every day, but there's one catch: you need a 3D printer in the first place. That's why I decided to take on the challenge of designing a simple filament guide that can be made without a 3D printer. This way, anyone with basic materials and tools can create their own magic filament guide. More complex items like spool holders require more advanced engineering skills, so let's focus on this easy-to-make filament guide for now. Fan ducts are also a challenge, as they involve fluid dynamics - not exactly a joke! For this 3-degree of freedom (rotation) filament guide with built-in shock-absorbing effect, all you need to do is spend 5 minutes folding the rubber band around the PTFE tube and gluing it in place with SuperGlue. Make two slits and holes to match the paper clip handle, and voila! You're done. And the best part? This filament guide also cleans the filament as it passes through - magic indeed!
