This is a precision-crafted wheel from the LaFerrari, meticulously printed at 8 inches x 8 inches x 4 inches in exceptional detail over an astonishing 72.5 hours. This initial machine burn-in test, following three brief calibrations, proves the system performed flawlessly without a hitch. Abundant support material was laid down for this model to minimize exterior cleanup, which necessitated the use of towering supports underneath each spoke. The estimated print time of 52 hours and required 0.6Kg of material, as predicted by Cura, far exceeded the actual time used – almost the entire spool was consumed in the process. The LaFerrari car model, originally created for a large-scale wall print at 17 feet wide x 11.5 feet high in Maya, underwent detailed rendering with Mental Ray at half size and 300 dpi. Upon completion, it was enlarged to full scale and resized to 150dpi, yielding exceptional results. Upon direct comparison, the printed model matches the actual car perfectly, confirming a seamless match.
