Superba Tension Mast Cap

This design replicates the left and right end caps necessary to secure the discs and springs on the Superba 1602 tension unit. When printed with PLA, the tabs that fasten the caps to the cover are thin yet strong and flexible. Minimal force is needed to snap the cap into place. The cap fits snugly in its position. Installing it is straightforward if you follow these steps: 1) Align the center socket of the cap with the small brake spring. 2) Position the center pin on the cap within the hollow of the two braking discs. 3) Press down on the cap to compress the two springs and place the center socket onto the tension unit shaft. 4) Gently press inward on the tabs and insert them halfway into their corresponding holes. 5) Press down on the cap above the springs until it securely clicks into place.
