A refreshed version of my original Stratos glider features dihedral hinge, washout wings, load dumping stress risers, an advanced KF variant aerofoil, latch-up elevators and 3D canopy for increased fun in a 1250mm ABS plastic frame. The full-sized variant is printable on a 100mm bed, while a glueless design is also available. An ultralight high aspect ratio variant, the Cumulus, offers longer, slower flights and thermaling capability. The Super Stratos boasts the best glide ratio of any glider, self-stabilizing dihedral, and a wing design that delivers high speeds without sacrificing glide. Responsive rudder input enhances the flying experience, while launcher tools are available on thingiverse. Instructions for assembly can be found on Thingiverse as well, along with tips for printing glider wings and purchasing premium designs to support further model development.
