Simple Speed Spool Skates Instructions Print 4 identical units of the object. Get 4 bearings (the most common size is the “608,” featuring an 8mm core, a 22mm outer diameter, and a 7mm width). Assemble the skates using friction fit (optional: use M3 screws or a calibrated printer for added stability). Design Details I adapted a clever design from makecoolthings to create this streamlined version. Initially, I questioned why two parts were necessary when one could suffice. To simplify production, print the same object twice instead of two different ones. I tweaked the original by carving a gentle curve into the bottom surface, replacing its flat profile and enhancing glide capabilities. The resulting design is compact yet stable, with a smaller footprint that still delivers exceptional performance.
