Super-Simple, Compact Filament Stand

Super-Simple, Compact Filament Stand

Recently, a friend gifted me a 3DStuffmaker Evolution (V1) to make things easier. I'm not a fan of the fact that it doesn't come with anything to hold the filament in place while it prints, which could lead to problems like broken filament during printing and other issues I'd rather avoid. So, I designed this stand. It measures 4.5 inches by 2.75 inches and you should be able to print the "StandComplete" STL file without any trouble, as it includes all three parts needed for this project. I printed mine on a Monoprice Select Mini, so it should fit on most print beds. Once the stand is printed, just place the two logs onto the stand, in their respective dips, and set your filament roll accordingly. It's not super smooth, but it gets the job done quite well. I've also included the Inventor files if you want to make any changes or modifications. I just realized that you'll need to rotate the STL file in your slicer before printing it, so keep that in mind. Edit: 11/18/2017: STL files "Filament-base" and "Filament-roller" have been added for separate printing needs.
