Super Simple Chess and Checkers Set (SSCCS)

This is my take on a compact travel-friendly chess and checkers set. Measuring 160mm square, the entire board fits neatly within a small space. Each individual square has a size of 20mm square. The chess game pieces or men are printed in two separate parts. These flat-printed parts require no support material before assembly. Once printed, you slide the two parts together to create each complete chess piece, with tolerances set at 0.2mm on the sides of the cutout. I drew inspiration from the Stauntion chess set style when designing these pieces. To make it easier to print, I've designed the board as a single piece and included an additional quarter-section for printing in smaller parts. This way, you can choose to print the entire board in one go or divide it into four separate sections if needed. Additionally, I've included two PDF images of boards that you can print out on paper and use immediately. The 3D printed board features a height-based design, allowing you to print and use it with a single color. You'll also find a set of checkers game pieces included in the files, so you can play both chess and checkers with this compact set. I recommend printing both sets to create a single pawn piece and see how they fit together before deciding whether to print the rest of the set. The chess set follows a clever height progression, with pawns being the shortest and kings being the tallest. The remaining pieces fall in line between these two extremes.
