Super Simple and Quick Test Pattern
cults3d
I designed a super simple test pattern to quickly assess the z-offset on my BLTouch in just a few clicks using FreeCAD. The design consists of a 150mm square divided into quarters by horizontal and vertical lines, with one solid circle at each corner and one in the middle. The perimeter lines are all 0.8mm wide, requiring two passes with a standard 0.4mm nozzle; the corner circles measure 8mm in diameter, while the central circle is a generous 16mm across. Cura's default layer height for the first layer is 0.3mm, so this pattern matches that setting exactly. Printing at a rate of 0.2mm (practically 0.3mm since it's only the first layer) with a print speed of 40mm/sec, this test takes just four minutes to complete - not counting warm-up time or the time spent running a leveling profile.
