Super Nintendo SNES Controller Case for Raspberry Pi Zero Retropie
thingiverse
I'm a huge fan of NES Pi Zero controllers and wanted to give creating a SNES version a shot. Unfortunately, two of the screw holes are placed in a way that prevents the Pi Zero from being flush with the front of the controller, so the ports end up recessed into the back. This workaround makes the complete controller about 8mm thicker than a standard SNES controller, which loses some of its classic slimness but still feels pretty comfortable in adult hands. There are two versions available - one comes with built-in supports that should work well for most people, and the other requires using your own supports. This model was designed to fit perfectly with an original SNES top piece without any modifications needed. Everything should go together smoothly, except for the L/R trigger pins which need to be trimmed about 2mm shorter to keep the lower shell as thin as possible. Although it's not a remix, this project was heavily inspired by bfesser's NES version. If you haven't checked that out yet, I highly recommend giving it a look - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1635363 Edit: The 1.2 update adds some extra support to the screw hole posts.
