My wife actually created this model in ZBrush Core - she started with simple cylinders for the body and limbs, then began sculpting to get the shape right, and finally added all the facial details. Next, I imported it into Meshmixer and used the plane cut tool to trim off a bit more from the feet so he could stand on his own. Then I sent it over to my printer and printed it out using the following settings: Printer: XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 Pro Filament: Hatchbox PLA Layer Height: 0.1mm Infill: 20% Supports/Raft: Yes Finally, my wife brought it to life with a combination of spray paint and brush techniques - I go into more detail about the process in the video, and I've also uploaded the full painting video if you're interested in seeing more.
