Super Fluid Filament Feeder Holder V2 I've tried several models with 20mm bearings, but they didn't deliver filament smoothly, causing jerks over 0.2mm in the printhead assembly. To design a feeder holder that offers minimal resistance, I aimed for less than 0.1mm pull force. It's designed for filament reels with an inner diameter of 40mm (no problem if it's bigger) and 100mm wide. The core of the reel is held on two supports by plastic springs, each support has three rollers whose axes are made of 1.5mm steel wire (easy to find in hardware stores). These two supports must rotate freely on a hollow aluminum rod 6mm in diameter and 170mm long. Two washers fixed with cyanoacrylate glue keep the support near the edge of the spool, limiting its longitudinal movement. The aluminum bar must be fixed to the square support by a 1mm diameter wire that goes through both. If the weight of the filament reel is over 5kgr, I recommend using steel wire greater than or equal to 2mm for the shafts. I'm using a clamp bar to fix it to a shelf, but you can also use the holes in the bracket to attach it with screws. Optionally, you can add rubber to the roller for a better grip on the print filament reel (I used cut-off 4mm wide rubber tires from a mountain bike tire).
