Super Clean Your Shop Vac Filter

If you're constantly using your shop vac like me, then you'll probably be searching for a better way to clean it. Before I designed this method, I used the "Wrap in a garbage bag and bump it against the floor" approach while holding my breath. The big disadvantage of this is when starting the shop-vac up, you get a huge cloud of fine dust out from the exhaust. This new design is simple, cheap, and pretty clean with none of the disadvantages of the previous method, and it also ends up being faster as well. Here's what you'll need: A 3D printer or access to one - this project takes about 13 hours of 3D printing (a relatively short time). 1 pc - 1/2"-13 x 12" long threaded rod (available at The Home Depot, item #1000797593) 5 pcs - 1/2"-13 nuts (available at The Home Depot, item #1000123145) 3D printed top plate 3D printed bottom plate 3D printed knob Drill with low RPM works best
