Super Bomberman
thingiverse
I recently bought Bomberman Live for my Xbox One and memories came flooding back instantly. I wanted a model to print out, but all I could find was one tiny version so I decided to create my own. UPDATE 5/15/17: I've finally printed this! I printed it at 75% scale (see the bottle for reference). All printed in Gizmodorks PLA with 0.2mm layers and 25% infill. I changed the bomb, body, and head into separate pieces to make them easier to print. I simply used hot glue to stick the parts together. I also designed a flame that I plan to light up with an LED featuring a flickering effect. I'll put a 500mAh LiPo battery and an Adafruit Trinket inside the bomb. I made a hollow version of the bomb fuse to make it easier to run wires to the LED. I'm thinking about either painting the fuse with tan paint or reprinting it with some ColorFabb Woodfill that I have coming. I printed the head in white first, then used Testors gloss cream enamel model paint for the face, gloss black for the eyes, and gloss yellow for the belt buckle. I also added eyebrows and glued them above the eyes using hot glue. For the belt, I printed the top half of the body starting with black PLA, then switched to red after the belt layer so that I wouldn't need to paint the belt afterwards. I HAVE NOT PRINTED THIS YET, so I have no idea what print settings will work best. Hopefully in the coming weeks I can get it printed and assembled. Some parts might require support The legs, arms, and antenna support can probably be printed with 0% infill so you just need to print a hollow shell and won't use much filament. Each piece is separate, so you can print them in whatever color you choose. The head and helmet are one piece, so you can paint the face. The body and belt are also one piece, which means they will require painting as well. I've uploaded the STL files, as well as the Inventor files. I've also uploaded both the one-piece and two-piece versions of the head, bomb, and body. Print Settings Printer: Folger Tech Prusa i3 2020 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: Printed with supports where needed (face, body top). I printed all parts with a raft so they'd be clean and fit together nicely. Post-Printing Assemble the model using hot glue. Paint the face with Testors gloss cream enamel model paint, the eyes with Testors gloss black, and belt buckle with gloss yellow. How I Designed This Designed in Inventor 2015. I based my design on images I found online.
