I have printed several bottle openers from thingiverse and they all work great, but I decided I wanted an even better one: No metal required: doesn't need a coin or other metal parts Opens bottles quickly and easily Durable enough to open lots of bottles without breaking Ergonomic design fits well in the hand Doesn't bend the cap during opening Compact size fits easily in the pocket Easy to print from thingiverse This opener uses a curved prying edge that catches onto a significant amount of the sharp cap edge, distributing the force so the opener is less likely to get damaged by the cap edge. The cap lever covers the whole top of the cap to minimize bending and keeps the cap securely in place, forcing it into the opener. Simply lift vertically up to open the bottle. Since the cap is barely deformed, you can often put it back on the bottle, saving your beverage for later. This design has been updated to version 9 and I believe it works exceptionally well. Print with a 1.6-2 mm thick shell and at least 25% infill to ensure durability. A thick outer shell is key to making this opener strong and long-lasting. I have opened around one hundred bottles using this design without any issues.
