SUP Paddle Adjustment Lock

SUP Paddle Adjustment Lock

myminifactory

My local surf shop just came to me with a unique problem: Ozoboard's popular Stand Up Paddle (SUP) brand uses a snap-fit locking mechanism to adjust paddle length, but many customers are losing them in the ocean. Since the supplier can no longer provide replacements ($20 each), it's time to turn to 3D printing for help! To fix this issue, you'll need to print two parts and add some basic hardware: a 6mm diameter screw with 12mm of thread length (M6 x 12mm in 316 stainless steel) and high-strength glue like Araldite. This solution has been tested and will perfectly replace the old design. The print shown here was made on an Up! Plus 2, using 0.2mm layer thickness and solid infill for added strength. My surf shop, Surf Connect, is also selling these printed parts as I produce them due to high demand - paddles are useless without this small part right now. Get in touch with us or contact me if you need a printed version to get back out on the water again.
