Suntour Command Shifters OBSOLETE
thingiverse
I hated how the Suntour Command Shifters are impossible to get and no good mass-produced version is offered. Their unavailability was frustrating, but they looked very intuitive and had a great design. These are Inventor files, not Solidworks as I'm used to using, so I might redesign them in Solidworks. I initially chose Inventor because of its sketched spline feature, which I liked more at the time for tracing over reference images provided. This project has gotten forgotten lately. If people show more interest, I might revive it, but for now, it's available for anyone who wants to try and pick up where I left off. It's just not a priority right now. I've never printed these out for testing or fitting purposes. If you do, please let me know so I can modify or update them as necessary. The Kelly Take-offs don't look great in my opinion, and the WTB whifter pod might be okay. The WTB whifter pod is also discontinued, so I might try designing these too. I prefer having extended levers on both sides. https://f.ptcdn.info/792/012/000/1385834440-6306127540-o.jpg http://forums.mtbr.com/vintage-retro-classic/wtb-drop-bar-shifter-adapter-question-842690.html http://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=57027&start=15 http://www.tririg.com/articles.php?id=2011_01_Easton_Aerobars&page=2 http://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=57027&hilit=lamp&start=105 http://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=57027&start=90 Assembly and Materials They currently attach to the handlebars using a hose clamp, which might not even exist. I'm not sure about that. A 4 mm bolt will affix the shifter to the pod unit, though I forget if I added a nut on the other side. I don't want the bolt to gouge the handlebar.
