Sunshade for Blackmagic Cinema Camera (BMCC)
thingiverse
This is a DIY sunshade replacement for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. The sunshade is one continuous piece that can be printed without any supports (assuming your printer can handle slight angle overhangs). It fits on the camera and stays in place due to the tension of plastic clips on either side, with no additional connectors required. These replacement sunshades typically cost $65 or more online, so I created a custom design for a few bucks. Enjoy! Print Settings: Printer: Craftbot Plus Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 2mm print layers Infill: 50% (faster with parallel lines) Notes: Ensure the outer edge of the sunshade, opposite the clips, is flat on the printer bed. The unique shape of the sunshade prints well and quickly with concentric lines for the shells. Custom Section: I design components for Juicebox, a manufacturer of high-end cinema camera battery kits like those used in Blackmagic Ursa and Red DSMC2 cameras.
