The redesign project by Joseph DeFalco features a calendar-cum-astronomically-inspired jewelry piece. It sports a sun and moon motif with functional elements. The design comprises an inner and outer cylinder that lock together to create a flush surface. The inner cylinder has a sun design with fifteen 'flares' for displaying dates. By rotating the inner cylinder and locking it into place using moon-shaped protrusions on the outer one, the date is adjustable. A loop highlighting the current date adorns the piece. The flares are large enough to prevent the inner cylinder from falling out. Customization of the inner surface adds personal touch. Combining aesthetics and functionality in a unique theme, this calendar-jewelry piece is a standout design, crafted with FDM PLA.
