Sunlu S8 Y linear rail Adapter
thingiverse
This remix uses M5X20mm cap screws with the original nuts to hold the bed carriage on and M3X20mm cap screws with a washer to hold the adapter to the Linear rail carriage. There is enough clearance between the top of the adapter and the bed carriage for the heads of the screws. The design for the Linear carriage indent into the adapter was modified so it fits MGN12H carriages. Included are stops for the linear rails rails ( 3 needed) ( note - stops are not needed ) and a new endstop mount. 400mm MGN12 rails were used. To align the belt you can use two of the silver spacers from the original roller carriages. The bolts that held them and the wheels in place will work or you can use M4X16 bolts. I printed it in white PETG with 1.6mm sidewalls and top and bottom and 15% infill. Was going to use ABS or Polycarbonate filament for the final print but the heat from the the bed set to 100°C for over an hour never got hot enough to affect the PETG part. Another advantage of going to linear rails is reduced bed swinging weight. The original parts to hold the bed to the printer weigh over 400 grams. . Mine with hardware came to 121 grams . It probably could have been reduced even further by using thinner sidewalls and top and bottom .
