Sunhokey X-Carriage Fan Holder and Mod to Maximize Build Height Z-200mm

Hi Everyone, I've got a Sunhokey Prusa I3 3D printer that performs really well, but I still fine-tune and modify it to improve its performance. The previous enhancements I made are listed below: -http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:813458 -http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:800771 -http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:640943 The intended build size for my printer was 200 x 200 x 180, but due to the borosilicate glass and clamp interfering with hot end movement, I'm limited to a build size of 180 x 180 x 180. After implementing previous modifications (linked above), I expanded the X-Y area by utilizing terminal lugs clamping method. My new build size is 195 x 190 x 180. However, I didn't stop there – upon realizing that hot end position on X-carriage was too low and Z height was insufficient, I aimed to reposition nozzle/hot end to gain at least 20mm of additional Z. Concurrently, I encountered the issue of the cooling fan's awkward placement and its tendency to bump into right Z-carriage when maximizing my X travel. Therefore, I designed a new X-carriage that relocates hot end by 20mm higher while incorporating cooling fan inside carriage assembly to avoid hitting Z-carriage. The photos below display my prototype and modified OBJ files. As you may have guessed, I prefer printing flat objects since they're stronger than their vertically oriented counterparts; hence, I divided the new X-carriage design into multiple flat pieces that I fastened using super glue or screws. By removing nuts, I just used screw holes with forced thread using existing screws – which I don't particularly care for anyway! As expected, the outcome is quite satisfying: a sleeker X-carriage housing the cooling fan and hot end at higher elevation. Consequently, my printer can now handle builds of size 195 x Y190 x Z200. To give you more flexibility with your own printer mod, I designed the new fan holder to fit within the original acrylic X-carriage should you choose not to upgrade everything – you only need the new cooling fan housing installed for maximum gain. Moreover, my new design can work with both small and longer slider blocks. Your efforts are valued, so please don't hesitate to apply this update to your Sunhokey Prusa I3; it's always great to see people putting our printer modifications into use! Best of luck with all future prints everyone, cheers!
