Sunhokey i3 Extruder Insert For Flex Filaments
thingiverse
This tiny part can be easily installed into the extruder of a Sunhokey Prusa i3 to prevent flex filaments from kinking before they enter the bowden tube. Now that this problem has been solved, I can finally print with flex PLA - something I haven't tried yet with TPE. It's surprising how well it works even with 1.75mm filament diameter and a bowden tube setup! I discovered that you have to disable retraction because flex filaments don't like being squeezed twice by the drivewheel. This part is held in place with a small drop of superglue. After printing, the hole can be cleaned up with a 2mm drill bit so the filament can slide freely.
