Sunglasses - Foldable - Print in Place
thingiverse
Sunglasses are print-in-place. They fit lenses for the Oakley Gascan which can be found widely available. Two options are included: 1. No Hole = Hinge is self contained (v2 is optimized for the 15deg printing angle shown) 2. Hole = Hinge has a hole through it to support inserting a paper clip for increased strength. (v2 is optimized for the 15deg printing angle shown) 3. Embedded Hole = if you pause the printer at the correct layer height, you can insert a 22mm paperclip in the hinge pin hole which will then get covered up (better strength without the visible hole!) 4. New option added! Print pieces separately! Use the three individual STLs if you prefer (front, left_temple, right_temple) Link to lenses: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N15JROD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Printing Tips: 1. Recommend printing 99% scale on non-shrinking material such as PETG. 2. Print upside down with about a 15 degree angle with the lens area up to prevent support material from building up in the lens channel. 3. Support from print bed only. 4. I added a 5mm brim to keep it stuck to the bed.
