Sunglasses #2

So I purchased these affordable and stylish sunglasses over the summer, and as the price indicated: they didn't even make it through autumn. The frame broke easily and the hinges started to come loose at the same time they got stuck too frequently (it's a bit difficult to describe). However, the lenses remain intact. This was an ideal opportunity to test that structured-light-3D-scanner I recently gained access to. So I took apart the frame, cut it in half (it's symmetrical anyway) and after coating it with chalk powder spray, scanned the half-frame and side-piece. The quality is suitable for printing, but it would take several hours of time to get it scanned and aligned perfectly. After scanning, I added some makeshift print-in-place hinges in Blender and it works better than expected. Please consider this as a work in progress, but you can actually create your own functional frame spare part with the attached files. One final note: I'm unsure if this scan constitutes copyright infringement, but I guess it's just an innocent DIY spare part. If someone well-versed in that legal area is reading this, please share your thoughts on that in the comments section.
