Sunfish Sailboat

Sunfish Sailboat

The sunfish sailboat comprises three parts: hull, sail, and stand. Inspired by schematics, I meticulously assembled it using a Solidoodle 2 printer at .2mm resolution. To achieve optimal results with minimal support evidence on large smooth surfaces, I printed the hull with supports and positioned the nose vertically. This process took approximately 3-3.5 hours. For the sail, I opted for a flat side down orientation during printing to maximize contact with the bed, finishing in about 30 minutes. The mast fitted seamlessly into the hull's designated hole due to precise machine tolerances. Lastly, the stand required only 35-40 minutes of printing time, making it an effortless addition to complete the set. Enjoy your sunfish sailboat!
