Sunfish Crank Bait
thingiverse
I crafted this design without relying on screw-in eyes, but if you prefer them, feel free to use them. To replace the traditional eyelets with a more secure option, order part 4047 from lurepartsonline.com and insert it halfway through the print process. This innovative approach mimics injection mold overmolding, making it a safer alternative that requires the lure to break apart before dislodging. I gave one of these lures a quick coat of paint and was impressed by its smooth action during a slow, steady retrieve. On the second cast, I caught a pickerel's attention, and it chased the lure right up to the shore. Although I lost it in a nearby tree on my next attempt, this design proved effective until then.
