Simple adapter for attaching popular 3M P3 filters is now available. The adapter is designed with two separate print parts that can be easily assembled using superglue and acetone. A custom-cut O-ring made from 1mm gum ensures a tight seal between the 3M filter and the mask. This innovative design results in a lighter mask, weighing only 116 grams compared to the original 135g (without filter), while also being shorter in length. The use of a single filter instead of two is a major advantage, especially during times of shortage when protective supplies are scarce worldwide. I chose this mask primarily due to its unique feature of using only one filter, which sets it apart from other masks that require two. Considering the current high demand for filters and their prices, this adapter offers a perfect solution for personal use. To ensure a precise fit, I have attached a STEP file with detailed dimensions. Please note that the design is quite tight, so some minor adjustments may be necessary to prevent any leaks or misalignment.
