Sundance Spa Cover Clip
thingiverse
I used PETG for these parts since my spa regularly gets direct sunlight and I don't want them warping. The parts are oriented in the direction they should be printed. This is to give better flexibility to some parts (vs snapping on a layer line). Supports should be set to "everywhere" on the clip holder. Supports are a pain to remove, especially from the holder, but I found that having my part cooling fan set to 60%-80% helped them pop off easier. Assembly steps are first you feed the leather strap through the "top" piece, the "top" then has a couple of locating pins to help place it on the "clip", before doing so apply some super glue liberally on the contact surfaces. Press the parts together for form the bond. This design was chosen to remove the need of unstitching the leather strap to feed through the clip. The clip should fit the original holder, but I've included a "holder" model for completeness.
