Galeopterus variegatus The Sunda flying lemur, alternatively known as the Malayan colugo, is often misnamed due to its common appellation. Contrary to popular perception, this species does not possess true flight capabilities and is not a member of the lemur family. Instead, it glides through the air with ease as it leaps from tree to tree. The Sunda flying lemur can be found in Southeast Asia, inhabiting regions that span across Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, southern Vietnam, Burma, and Singapore. Accession number: 129.17
