Fill up a 500ml soda bottle with water, then create a makeshift bird feeder by shaping a collar and hanger from thin galvanized wire. To avoid drawing in an excessive number of bees, I discovered that a combination of one part sugar to nine parts water proved sweet enough for the birds without becoming too appealing.
