Sunbeam em6900 cofee machine group handle shim

A Spacer/SHIM for Sunbeam EM6900 Coffee Machines: Ensuring a Firm Seal Between Group Handle and Portafilter. When your portafilter no longer makes a tight seal against the gasket on your Sunbeam em6900, you can insert a shim like this into the group handle to raise it up slightly, forcing a tighter seal. If water and coffee grounds are spraying everywhere, chances are you need one of these shims. I created one after completely disassembling the shower screen, thoroughly cleaning it, replacing the gasket seal, and scrubbing away corrosion from the thermoblock. Once I removed all the corrosion, the group handle and filter no longer made a tight seal, so I needed this shim to fix the issue. Food Safety: Not a Concern. The shim should not come into contact with the expressed coffee. I used PLAflex for this design, which would deform and create a firm seal. If you use regular PLA, you may need to adjust it to fit your machine's unique spacing requirements. You can simply z-scale this model or download the openscad file for more precise adjustments.
