I'm making an adapter for my pool robot (SunBay 772870) to replace the original intake junction (rubber junction, not effective, and disconnects when the pump stops).\r\nIt connects the original pressure regulator with a conical feature (big diameter 40mm, small diameter 37mm, length 35mm), and the standard 1" 1/2 thread intake of the pool.\r\nThe adapter consists of two parts:\r\n* the adapter with the 1" 1/2 thread\r\n* a locking ring forced into place on the regulator cone, that keeps everything assembled\r\n\r\nI wanted the two parts to fit tightly together, so some sanding is needed to get them to assemble smoothly.\r\n\r\nFor my pool robot (SunBay 772870), I'm creating an adapter to replace the original intake connector (rubber connector, ineffective, and disconnects when the pump turns off).\r\nIt makes a connection between the original pressure regulator with a conical feature (big diameter 40mm, small diameter 37mm, length 35mm), and the standard 1" 1/2 thread pool intake.\r\nThe adapter is made up of two parts:\r\n* the adapter itself with the 1" 1/2 thread\r\n* a locking ring that's screwed onto the regulator cone to keep everything together\r\n\r\nTo get the two parts to fit together nicely, I had to do some light sanding before assembly.
