A direct replacement driver's side sun visor mirror assembly for a 1998 Toyota Camry utilizes original springs and mirror but can be modified to avoid needing them. The legs on the back of the cover might require some modification to operate smoothly. To remove the original assembly, insert a putty knife from the bottom recess and pry upwards until attachment clips unhook. They hook over a diamond feature that appears to be a clear plastic embedded in the foam. Additionally, when removing or inserting the mirror, briefly dip the end of the parts in hot water to make them more pliable.
