Sun Visor for Cobb AccessPORT
thingiverse
If you have a Cobb AccessPORT on your dash, and the sun is shining bright, you will notice that most of the time, you can't see your screen. The same issue doesn't happen with your other gauges, or the clock, and that's because there's a visor to shield the sun. This part will snap on to your AccessPORT, and shields the screen from all but direct sunlight. This part is compatible with reeseallen's AccessPORT holder.http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37769 ...and was used to derive this design. A great addition to an awesome dash mount... Let's see the V3 do this! Instructions I printed this part at medium quality (.2mm layer height, 10% infill) It should just snap right on, but removing it can be a bit tougher; With the AP upside down, and it's back towards you, pulling on the visor from the sides with your fingers and popping the AP out with your thumbs works best. You can always sand a little off the side nubs, or warm up the part and stretch the sides out to make it easier to put on and remove, but only adjust it a little bit, as it could easily become a sloppy fit if you overdo it. Be sure to snap this part on first before clipping it into the AP holder. they are a perfect fit together when installed. If you install your AP on the left-hand side vent, you can rotate it easily, so the longer part of the visor can block incoming sunlight better. I prefer the center vent location, next to the cupholder (in a 04 WRX) This part will work with V2 and V2B AccessPORTs, regardless of vehicle application.
