Basically instead of the included spray bar you just put this onto the 90° Elbow and it creates a 15° angle up to the surface that will break the surface tension and allow oxygen exchange. The Pros to this rather than the spray bar is that this allows for better current, and better surface tension agitation which means higher oxygenated water which our fish and beneficial bacteria love!
