So first and foremost, this wasn't designed by me - but rather Todd Vernon - https://www.oldsilicon.com I am posting it with his prior permission. Please do check out his site for a wonderful gallery of restored old computers, with an entire section dedicated to Unix workstations from days of yore. This will let you mount a ZuluSCSI SD-SCSI board in your Sun as an ersatz SBUS card. One end goes over the actual SBUS connector, and the other sits in the two tab holes at the bottom of the slot / back of the case. I have 3 files here: SBusBoardTop.stl - Original top section. Provides standoffs for the 4 ZS mounting holes/screws. Intended to be lined up and glued to the bottom section. SBusBoardBottom.stl - Original bottom section. This is the part that seats on the SBUS connector etc. Intended to be lined up and glued to the top section. ZuluScsi SBUS - SS20.stl - All I did to the bottom model was remove some small square notches at the 4 corners. The original was designed for an IPX - and it fits just fine. On my SS20, I had to remove the material from the corners to get to fit (SS20 is a bit more dense and crowded than the inside of an IPX). Dont let the SS20 moniker throw you - this is simply the machine I have and was working on. This should fit pretty much any other machine with SBUS as long as there is clearance around it. Something else I did different - I only use the bottom section. I got an assortment case of 3mm nylon screws/nuts/standoffs/washers from Amazon. I used these (as you will see in the pics) to mount the ZS. This cut down on vertical height which is a premium in the SS20. Once you have this all together - you will have a rear slot accessible SD card. No opening the case etc. Shut the box down, swap cards, new OS. What a time to be alive :)
